Storm & Hurricane Roof Damage Inspection

Free, no-obligation storm-damage inspection with drone and infrared documentation — plus an honest repair recommendation.

Free storm-damage inspection and documentation

After a storm, the hardest part is knowing the true extent of the damage. We give you a free, no-obligation roof inspection and a detailed, photo-documented report of every storm-related issue we find — so you have the facts in hand before you decide what to do next.

We produce drone photography, infrared moisture scans, and a clear written report. If the damage may be covered, we'll recommend you contact your own insurance carrier to start a claim.

  • Free storm-damage inspection
  • Drone + infrared moisture documentation
  • Detailed written damage report you can keep
  • Emergency tarping within 24 hours
  • Repairs and replacements to current Florida building code
  • 5-year workmanship warranty

How it works

  1. Inspect & document. We walk the roof, fly the drone, and run an infrared moisture scan, then give you a written damage report with photos.
  2. You decide. With the report in hand, you can contact your insurance carrier to see whether the damage is covered. As licensed roofing contractors — not public adjusters — we don't file, negotiate, or adjust claims on your behalf, but our documentation gives you a clear, factual record of the damage.
  3. Repair to current code. Our own in-house crew completes the work to Florida building code, backed by a 5-year workmanship warranty.

What to do right after a storm

  1. Stay safe first. Don't go on the roof yourself. If you see structural damage, stay out of those rooms and call us.
  2. Photograph everything from the ground. Wide shots and close-ups, date-stamped.
  3. Be careful with "storm chasers." Door-knockers may be from out of state, uninsured in Florida, and gone before the work is done.
  4. Do not sign an Assignment of Benefits (AOB). It transfers your insurance rights to a third party. We never ask for one.
  5. Keep receipts for emergency repairs. Reasonable emergency costs are typically reimbursable by your carrier.
  6. Contact your carrier promptly. In Florida you generally have one year from the date of a storm to file a claim, but sooner is better.

Storm & insurance FAQ

Common questions

How long do I have to file a storm damage insurance claim in Florida?

Under Florida law, you have one year from the date of the storm to file a new claim, and 18 months from the date of loss to file a supplemental claim. Missing these windows can forfeit your right to recover — call us right away after any storm.

Will filing a storm damage claim raise my insurance rates?

That depends on your carrier and claim history, so it is best to ask your insurer directly. After a free inspection we can show you the extent of the damage and give you an honest repair-or-replace recommendation so you can make an informed decision.

What is the 25% roof replacement rule in Florida?

Florida's building code generally requires that when more than 25% of a roof is repaired or replaced within a 12-month period, the work be brought up to current code. Since 2022 (Senate Bill 4-D) there is an important exception: if your existing roof was built or replaced in compliance with the 2007 Florida Building Code or later, you usually do not have to replace the entire roof — only the repaired portion must meet current code. Any required upgrade is often covered under your policy's ordinance-or-law coverage, and we will confirm how the rule applies to your specific roof.

Do you charge for the storm damage inspection?

No. The storm inspection, drone documentation, and written damage report are all free.

What if my claim was denied or underpaid?

We can re-inspect your roof and provide updated written documentation of the damage we find. How you use that with your carrier — including any supplement or re-inspection request — is between you and your insurer or a licensed public adjuster; as roofing contractors we do not file or negotiate claims.

Should I sign an Assignment of Benefits (AOB) after a storm?

No. An AOB transfers your insurance rights to a third party. Never sign one with a door-knocker. We never ask for an AOB — you keep full control of your own claim.
